HOW IT WORKS

Sense → Decide → Water → Verify → Improve

(Pilot monitoring and manual override when needed)

Soil-moisture-driven irrigation for consistent watering under real-world constraints.

System Overview

RaiSmart uses soil moisture as the primary signal to reduce dry/wet spots and avoid unnecessary pumping.

System Architecture

• Sensors → ESP32 (logic) → Relay → Pump → Irrigation

• Solar → Charge Controller → 12V Battery → System

• Mobile dashboard (pilot monitoring)

Solar-ready power supports an ESP32 controller that triggers the pump via a relay based on soil-moisture thresholds.

Operating flow (5 steps)

• Sense: soil moisture + context (T/H, light)

• Decide: compare to thresholds / target band

• Water: run pump in controlled cycles

• Verify: re-check and stop at target level

• Log & improve (pilot): record events to refine thresholds; manual override if needed

Signals we use (3)

• Soil moisture: primary decision signal (handles variability across rows)

• Temperature/Humidity: weather context

• Light: time-of-day context

Impact link

Targets measurable outcomes: less labor time, improved moisture consistency, and reduced pump runtime (waste proxy).
